I too have the Raask installed on my 1997. You are absolutely right about the installation, easy as 1-2-3. I think the pipe is excellent quality and really cleans up the look of the bike. The sound as you said is awesome. I do not have any backfires either. I re-jetted the bike with a 155 main jet and turned the mixture screw out about 2-2 1/2 turns I believe and of course adjusted the idle screw. Before doing this, the pipe created too much heat (like almost any other pipe) and turned a very light golden color at the head. After re-jetting, I cleaned the coloration off with Blue-Job it hasn't come back. Performance wise, well worth the price. The bike is quicker, responds better, and doesn't appear to have to work as hard to hold highway speeds. I am nothing close to a mechanic so these are just my personal opinions. Congrats on the new pipe! Enjoy!
